In 2025, we witnessed the resurgence of underground artists. Every week came with the introduction of a new artiste whose sound the internet just couldn’t get enough of. There was Wavestar, Mavo, Zaylevelten, Luwa.MP4, Scotty Olorin, Egertton, and many more.

The movement has not stopped there; the underground soundscape has continued to expand with Danpapa GTA’s “Ikeja” and NO11 and Ayjay Bobo’s “How Far” taking the internet by storm in the first quarter of 2026.

It’s expanse has also gifted us with a couple of collaborations we didn’t even know we needed, such as vvsmygwen’s “H M” with Luwa.MP4, JEMIYO, AR4, and Elestee’s “Not a Drill”, and HUSTLE KPA $$$ by Blaqbonez, which featured ARTSALGHUL.

The point is, these underground artists have forged their way through the noise and have built internet fame in their own corner of the world, turning it into a community they can call their own. They’re bringing this community now to the event space, headlining events, and even throwing some of their own.

We got a taste of it last year in December, when Mavo and Zaylevelten threw their concerts, and with the Camp Cyk rave headlined by Jeleel. Now, we’ll be getting not one but two events in April.

Scotty Olorin will be having his first headline show on Saturday, April 4th, at the Kairos Hub, Lagos, and Heat Wave’s Vibe Room will be headlined by none other than Egertton on April 18th.
